![]() People really tend to overvalue “passion.”īefore you assume that this is me saying that artists should approach things without passion and instead focus on making it a boring career, because unga bunga the RedLetterMedia meme that everyone misuses, I feel that that’s a gut reaction to anyone who really doesn’t understand what being in the world of the arts entails. And on YouTube, when you tend to see a lot of people analyzing media, you realize something very interesting. ![]() I tend to hear it more from people observing works from afar or who are within that field but at a very amateur level. “You look like you have so much passion for dance.” “You can hear the passion in their voice.” “There’s so much passion put into this film.” Over and over again, this word is coming out of the mouths of people in the arts…but I would be remiss to say that it’s something you hear coming out of the mouths of people who are successful within those fields. Especially how it was able to incorporate the art that the characters had drawn themselves, into their own world via they’re imaginations. As someone who has been surrounded by the arts all my life, be it film, music or dance, you tend to hear this word a lot. While the relatability factor can also stem from the fact that people could be seeing these characters and saying DAMN SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE ME BEFORE THE CAR ACCIDENT LAST NOVEMBER WHICH TRAGICALLY FLUNG ME OFF MY SEAT AND LANDING ME IN A POOL OF VOMIT.Īll jokes aside I did love the show’s art. The characters look like people who you could easily meet in real life and apart from this you can also gather what they are like personality – wise from their character designs too. Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!’s art style, like a lot of things about it, is charming and playful. Therefore we need all kinds of animes which bring with them all sorts of different takes on the anime art style. Not to say that every anime should look like this one however as anime of course is an art form and so we should be pushing it’s boundaries to our heart’s content. I personally think that the character designs have struck such a chord with people because they look relatable, and so, realistic. Pushing Asakusa and Mizusaki to pursue making animation together. Instead having an interest in getting money anyway that she can and however who doesn’t seem to be mischievous in a selfish way either. Not forgetting Kanamori who knows nothing about anime. To us learning about Mizusaki’s motivation through her straight up telling us in third person. From being shown Asakusa watching it from a young age, to becoming more and more aware of how it was created as the years passed. ![]() learning what they’re motives are for wanting to make anime and how this came into place. In the first episode alone we see the characters get introduced and to their friendship being forged by the end of the episode. The character designs, the characters themselves and the dynamics between them is charming, playful and full of life. Yesterday I decided to watch the first episode of the new anime, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, due to people being fond of the characters designs on Twitter.
